Jessica Hernandez and The Deltas
ZanzabarMarch 10, 2015 9:00 PM
2100 South Preston Street
Louisville, KY 40217
After getting her start in music singing cover songs and a handful of self-written, half-serious tunes about failed sexual encounters, Detroit-based artist Jessica Hernandez decided to take a real shot at music and formed the Deltas in 2009. She assembled a band and released her first EP, Too Many Clothes, in 2010, under the name Jessica Hernandez and the Deltas. With a sound that goes from catchy, uptempo tunes to more ballad-oriented slow jams, Hernandez and her band continue to churn out a distinctive brand of dark pop and neo soul.

Filligar is an American rock outfit from both New England and the Chicago area. Comprised of brothers Johnny, Teddy and Pete Mathias, along with their childhood friend Casey Gibson, the band has crafted a modern take on classic rock and indie folk that has made Filligar one of the top college bands in the nation. Formed in 2000, the four-piece does well to mix up its sound, citing old and new influences that range from The Band and The Rolling Stones, to Wilco and Radiohead.
