Located on the Division Street in Evansville, National Guard Armory is home of the Indiana National Guard. Founded in 1938, the armory serves as the training center for the national guards and is considered to be one of the best in the state. Various events like the Gun and Knife show, reptile show and many more are scheduled at the National Guard Armory.
This Gothic style church was built circa 1866 by architect Ludwick Reidinger. St. Mary Catholic Church was established to cater to the German immigrants as the area was getting overcrowded with them and only two other churches were accommodating German speaking people. Though it is not as ornate as other Gothic structures, its stained glass windows and vaulted doorways reflects this type of architecture beautifully. St. Mary is the oldest of its kind in Evansville and offers a peaceful retreat to anyone who visits its sanctuary. The church is also known for its worship.

The imposing structure brick structure on the Southeast Third Street has its history rooted in the middle of 19th Century. This Methodist church was first established in 1865 and was the first of its kind in the city. Today, the people of Evansville visit this huge religious center for various community activities, as well as religious events. The church organizes various programs for kids as well as adults to spread the teachings from the bible. Sunday morning worships are held for the members of the church, with the soothing sounds from the Wicks Pipe Organ played by the members of the church choir.
The construction of the Old Newburgh Presbyterian Church began in 1851. The place of worship played an important role not only in evolving community life of the city but also during the Civil War, wherein the church bell was used to signal danger to the Home Guard. Remodeled a few times, the church building has seen quite some change and progress, it still reflects history and culture of Newburgh.
A multi-purpose Convention Hall—Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Coliseum was built in the early 20th century. It has an expansive seating capacity of 2400 with the standing capacity almost doubling. This hall can host wedding receptions, plays, concerts, orchestra or just about any event. With the weekend special being the games & Bingo every Friday it couldn't be better. The Coliseum has non-smoking sections and exciting offers too. Also, this place is home to the Evansville Rotary Club, so various club events too can be looked forward to. The very famous Willard Library was founded by Willard Carpenter in the 19th century. It's a magnificent structure with great interiors of wooden panels. A haven for the genealogists, this place has many archives & a vast collection of volumes to refer to. The the library is lined up with the best books one is looking for.
