Jump! That is it in a nutshell. You go up in a plane, jump out with a certified instructor and free fall for what is likely to seem a very long time before you pull the cord and open that parachute. Folks have been skydiving out here in the Zephyrhills area since the 1960s, and Skydive has been leaping into the air since 1989. After a short instructional course, you dive in tandem with an instructor, free falling for 60 seconds as you drop at 120mph from 13,500 feet. Charge for the dive plus pictures and a video is USD280. A good score is a distinct possibility on this course, designed in 1995 by Larry Maxwell. In order to succeed, you must be accurate from the tee. Most holes have water, and there is the standard amount of sand. If you hit the ball crooked, you will find trouble. The par-3s are of reasonable length. The par-5s are short but boast plenty of trouble. This is a semi-private golf course. Soft spikes only.
Willowbrook Golf Course was designed in 1967 by David Wallace, and is a standard public course. There is a minimum of trouble to slow down play and most greens are easily reachable. While there is more water than usually found on a public course, it remains an easy track. The par-5s are very short. The par-3s are also quite short, with one 187-yard exception. Three of the par-4s might stretch an average golfer. This is a public golf course. Soft spikes only.
Lake Henry Golf Club - Lake Henry Course an 18-hole executive course sits on flat terrain. There is token water, along with an adequate amount of sand. The fairways are tight and the greens are quite small. Although the course is very short, it is of average difficulty. This is a private golf course. Soft spikes only.
The Links Of Lake Bernadette is located in the picturesque town of Zephyrhills, few miles to the north of Tampa. This beautiful 18-hole golf course is one of the most prominent in the region and has been in existence since 1983. The pampas grass, the tall pine trees, the sand dunes, and the rolling fairway make it a delightful golf strip.
