The First Baptist Church is a monumental Baptist church in the region of Richmond in Virginia. Located at the northwest corner of 12th and East Broad Streets, in Richmond, it was established in 1780. The church arranges for two traditional Sunday worship services. Sunday School takes place prior to the worship session and the Bible classes are held throughout the week in the evening. Wednesdays are reserved for meals and other activities. Spread over an area of 0.3 acres (0.12 hectares), the church occupies great historic importance, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1969.
