    »The Protomen

    October 23, 2014 8:00 PM

Inspired by the video game series Mega Man, The Protomen is an art rock band from Tennessee that has collected a cult following since it emerged in 2003. With stage names inspired by different aspects of pop culture, the band members describe themselves as storytellers and use The Protomen to share their three-act rock opera. The band's material is noticeably darker than the original video game work of Mega Man, and the group's three part story, composed of three albums and starting with the band's 2005 self-titled debut, is set up to be a tragedy.
